Pirate Birthday Cake

This was for a child's birthday party which was pirate-themed. The children really enjoyed eating the treasure in the treasure chest which was modelled from sugarpaste icing and glittered using edible glitter!
This time I did the sea using marbled royal icing and placed two moulded, sugarpaste dolphins swimming in it.
The pirate on the desert island was hand-made and dressed by me, with an eye patch and neckerchief hat.



8"x10" chocolate cake, sandwiched with chocolate buttercream, coated in sugarpaste and royal icing.
