Gorgeous pink and yellow Primroses
This cake was for a very special 80th Birthday of an elderly lady in a nursing home. Her family told me that she loved flowers and her favourite colour was pink! Each of the flowers and leaves are modelled by me in flower paste on flower wires, and then arranged into a pot I made from mexican paste pushed into a mould. They are then placed onto the pretty tablecloth which was embossed with flowers and then painted with powder colour. Little yellow primrose blossoms were then put onto the corners of the tablecloth. I piped the lady's name onto a plaque and wired this and placed it into the arrangement. The lady in question loved the cake and has saved the pot full of primroses as a keepsake of her special birthday.
